As some of you may know (and some of you might not), yesterday was the EU-election day.
People all over Europe voted for the ones they want to have a say in the decisions made in EU. You would think that everyone would vote, but only 43% voted!!!!! That is less than half, ffs!!!
I am so disappointed... (I hope all you europeans reading this voted. I really, really do.)
6 of 10 national issues start out as issues discussed in the EU, you know.
Also disappointed (and scared) by the fact that the right wing parties (all over europe) gained so much ground. Did no one learn from what happened in germany in the 1930's? First a financial crisis, then the right wing gets more and more support.
So many lifes will be lost because of these election-results, because they will build an even bigger 'wall' around Europe.
'My' party (and you all know I am pretty far to the left) lost around 50% of the votes compared to the last election and therefore lost one seat...so I am sad...and pissed of.
The Pirate Party 'stole' votes from all the other parties and will get 1 seat.
I am a bit worried about them though...I think net integrity is important too, but I do not want to vote for a party that can't even decide if they are more to the right or the left, and they have no real opinions in a lot of questions I think is important.
The good thing about them is that they have now shown the 'old' parties that they can't just sit around pretending that some issues (like ipred) doesn't excist...
So basically: This election sucked on so many levels.

I know I haven't written here in ages, but today was special.
Since the big Star Wars exhibiton opened, there were a bunch of stormtroopers from the 501st Legion of Imperial Stormtroopers walking around today.
So I just had to bring my camera when going to the ...ummm, I don't really know how to translate it,but something like: "Harbour-Party" ...well anyway, I had my camera just in case there would be Stormtroopers around.
And there was!!!
I feel sooooo nerdy to get so excited about this, but I have loved Star Wars since I was a child, so I think I have the right to. :P

| Mammography (and Harry Potter) |

Yesterday I went to get a mammography exam (because my right breast has been aching and when i went to the doctor he 'felt something' and wanted me to go get a mammogram done, to check if it was cancer)
...aaaanyway, it took 4 and a half hours!!! Mostly waiting and waiting and waiting.
The mammography exam (which was my first one) was sooooooooooo painful. No one has ever hurt my poor boobies like that. ever! Lucky each thing only took a few seconds...but I had to redo 'left sideways' 3 times! The pain!!!
I am so happy I have big boobs, because it must be hell for those with small ones. ...I don't even want to think about it.
They didn't find anything on the mammogram. (neither did the doctor who examined them (by hand) before the mammo-thingy)
So: Healthy boobies!!!! Yay!!!!! ^__^
(the right one still aches, but that is probably a muscle thing because I spend too much time at the computer... :P)

I (gnome warlock) was killing nagas in zangermarsh and i see an orc hunter being killed over and over by 3-4 alliance guys (druid, pala...something something) that pisses me off so much. makes me feel ashamed to be alliance. if i could switch to horde i would in a heartbeat.

It's election in Sweden today.
I like voting. it is very, very important to me.
I had dinner with my family and then me and my two brothers (who are in the same district and polling station as me) went to vote (all the others already had voted before dinner... :P ) ...we had spaghetti btw...
But it looks really bad for 'my' party (v)...they are not doing so good as hoped. dammit!
...and it looks like the stupid 'alliance' will win... (i voted horde! lol well..you know what i mean...or maybe not :P)
I'm a bit nervous, Sweden is going to get harder to live in if the alliance win. i really, really, really hope they don't win..it's extremely close between the 2 sides... *gets more nervous*
they have now counted 2495 of 5783 districts...
(around 80% got off their asses and voted...is that good or bad? i want it to be higher) |

Thanks to Dya and Zlen (who probably didn't even know i was sad) i feel much better now...
...but i will have to see how the next raid goes.
oh and a tribute run to DM north and a quick night run of DM west helped too...+ an arena boss :) (with good loot).
one of the smoothest west runs ever...i died once i think and that was because of hellfire...no mage lol (warlock, priest, hunter, rogue, warrior) (i died once in the arena too, but that doesn't count)
i still have one or two things to deal witth but i feel much much better anyway. |

I feel so sad right now and most of it is because of myself and the kind of person i am...
Someone said something to me today, probably not at all meant to make me sad, but i started thinking...

used 3 greater fire protection potions and a major mana one. it was so worth it! I stayed alive for the whole fight.

* my left eye hurts sooooooo bad. i sometimes wear an eyepatch to keep myself from touching it... (and my bf calls me Rend...I think only dya gets that one but still...)

you have all probably forgotten me... it has been soooooooooooooo long since i wrote anything here. but i'll try to write more, ok :)
One of my half-guilty pleasures are to read books about people travelling and/or 'discovering' places/cultures and so on.. (like kon-tiki and such) (why half-guilty?... well, the older the books are the more awful the people...people were really racist back in the 20s)
I have read alot of them and it's really funny to compare those written by men and those written by women.
Men tend to go on and on about equipment, food, technical boat stuff and so on, while women hardly mention those things.
The one i am reading at the moment (written by a woman) spends one chapter describing how she pretends to be interested in buying a cute little monkey from a handsome man, just so she can have sex with him. (the man, not the monkey... but she does fall in love with a fish O_o)
Men who visits 'primitive' cultures always mentions how pretty the barebreasted girls are, but never goes deeper into the subject.
And what do i prefer? ...hmmmm I don't really know... i like both :) |
